Creative HS 390 microphone Not Working With Skype?

Recently, i have purchased creative HS 390 microphone. I'm able to listen sound from speaker and headphone both but I'm not able to configure my microphone for voice. When I tested with Skype, my voice is not getting recognized by sound recorder. As usual three are 3 ports on sound card :green, pink, blue. right now i have put 1 cable in green port and one in pink port. How should I configure the microphone to work with Skype. Any help appreciated.
