Who cares about the Presidency when you can have both houses in Congress?
Support for the Democrat Party is dwindling to the point that even the AFL-CIO is threatening to stop funding democrat candidates unless they take a sharp turn to the left (I’m hoping they do so which will ensure their demise in 2012). Without any support in either house in Congress, Obama will be powerless for 4 years, thus a lame duck. And in most lame duck sessions, the President either does nothing, and is remembered for doing nothing, or compromises by giving into the opposing political party’s demands, just like Clinton. So, shouldn’t the Republicans and conservatives be more focused on gaining control of both houses of the Congress as opposed to the Presidency?
